Edmonton Journal- A 1990 Tape Recorder

WOW! Sorry I havent posted anything in a long time, Y'all. There has been so much going on! I think I am going to post information and pictures about each day of our trip. Here goes the first day.

Today was the long 8-hour drive to Des Moines. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, because before we left, we found a tape recorder from the 1990's that still by some miracle worked. My siblings and I had a really fun time with it. We made up this radio show and the cool thing about the recorder was you could play back what you recorded in chipmunk, and I don't know if any of you have ever watched veggie tales, but my dad sounds like Junior the Asparagus's Dad in Chipmunk. So 8 hours later we got to Des Moines, and stayed at an embassy suites that night, and went to this sub sandwich shop called Jimmy John's for supper. Man, they have really good sandwiches, AND really good pickles. We didn't really take any pictures on this day at all.

Edmonton Journal- Part one

We have started on our way to Canada. The house is all empty and packed up...SAD! It is very echoey in my room. We are at our grandparents house before the 8-hour drive to Des Moines on Sunday. It is actually happening!

Moving!

Wow! been so chaotic at our house this week, and we are moving to Canada TOMORROW! I just got back from a youth group trip on Wednesday. We went to kings Island (an amusement park in Cincinnati, OH)and I rode the biggest, scariest roller coaster there! FUN!!!!!!! I problaby won't be able to blog over the next couple of days, because we will be traveling in a car all day long. BYE!!!!

Okay, so today, I found out something really cool. You know that Spanish Wisdom thing I do from time to time, someone has viewed my blog from Peru. And the German Wisdom thing I did once? WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have some really big news. My Family and I were in downtown Nashville driving to Les Miserables at TPAC and I saw AMY GRANT walking down the street with someone I knew from my CHURCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was really cool! Oh and also, my babysitter is BFF's with Allison Krauss!!!!!!!!!  So I learned my lesson: You never know who you are going to run into in music city. Who's next? Taylor Swift? Justin Bieber?

NO MORE SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!

HI Y'ALL. So today was the last day of school. Yay! BOO!! I really enjoed the enrichment program I went to this year. I was in a group of awesome kids, mostly boys, but it was still fun. I will miss all the people I met at BFA, including the rough and tumble kindergarteners, but I want to say good bye to

WOW. I seriously haven't blogged in a long while. Okay, so I know you all have been patiently waiting, and I thank you.  Recently my brother and I have been obsessed with making Geico commercials. Here are two of them we made with our friends. They are not edited, so they will be nothing like Charissa's or Anna's, but here is the first one. We did it in two parts.

I Need Help!

Okay, so there is this new book I am writing and I can't decide on a name for one of the main characters. She has short red hair and glasses, and is the youngest of her quadruplets, Bethany, Luke, and Tucker. They have an older brother named Maelgwn (MILE-gun), just to give you some back round. At the moment I am calling her Allison, but I want to change it. Whoever gives me a name suggestion I like the best gets his/her name on the cover, and I am seriously going to try and publish this. Please tell me in your comments, but for those who have my e-mail address, send it to me via e-mail, please!

Cattle herdin'!

Today I got to be a real cow girl and herd cattle! It was so much fun, but it wasn't like you see in the western movies. My uncle and I had gotten some bulls and heifers into a cow pen the night before by wading through muck and yelling at them. Then we had to load them into the trailer. Nothing much happened there, except the rope broke that we used to let the cows in. Then my uncle and I had to wade through muck again and move a lot of fences, fill a silage wagon, and ride a whole ton of trucks and tractors. All in all, it was a fun day, but I am plumb wore out!

Home again!

So, to recap our journey, on Sunday we went to the National Cathedral. It was so pretty, and so HUGE! I couldn't get over how big it was! On Monday we went to colonial Williamsburg. It was really neat! They were having homeschooling discount week then. It was fun. We also had a really nice place to stay in Williamsburg, and it was super cheep! It had a big living room, dining room, kitchen, small bathroom, small bedroom with a squishy queen sized bed, a master bedroom with a king sides squishy bed, and a master bath with a jacuzzi! We got two condos just like that, so we had PLENTY of space. On Tuesday, we went back to Williamsburg, and it was just like the day before, except I got lost on a bus. On Wednesday, we went to Washington, D.C. and toured the white house, went in some of the Smithsonian, got to go into the Senate and House of Representatives and watch them, only we didn't see John Boehner OR Joe Biden, and they are supposed to be in charge of the House of Rep. and the Senate. I mean, they get payed to be there! I also found my favorite TV channel: C-span! Anyway, after that we went to the Lincon Memorial, and we got on the subway and went home. It wasn't so great as in the pictures at the Lincon Memorial though because one: Every one was yelling, and it was so echoish in there. Two: they had the reflective pool drained. Waa! :-(. On Thursday, we went swimming, and ate at this really fancy seafood restaurant. On Friday, we were in the car all day, and Saturday we were in the car all day again, and ate at this cool Athenian Restaurant. So, that was our trip at a glance.

Williamsburg!

I am so excited! We get to go to a town that is set in medevil times! No, It is REVOLUTIONARY WAR! Well i don't care. I hope there will be some boy stuff to do, not all dancing and knitting and Chrocheting. I would go nuts if it were like that. t is not going to be like that. Once again, Maelgwn, THIS IS REVOLUTIONARY WAR! There will be cannons and horses and muskets, boy stuff too.
